Project Runway/Millionaire Matchmaker

What's playing on my Zune?

The Three Tenors

Woohoo! Christian Siriano won Project Runway Season 4! I thought he would make it to the end from the very first show. He is a talented and fierce contestant. His runway show at Bryant Park was thrilling and so very original. The other two contestants (Rami and Jillian) had beautiful designs but there wasn't that "oomph" to them. When the first model for Christians show walked out you could hear the audience just send up a chorus of "OOOOO's", they knew they were in for a treat and Christian delivered.

Reading Mel's blog, she posted about the bachelor from Millionaire Matchmaker and his eyebrows well, I just had to find a re-run of that show and watch...and she was right on. That man's eyebrows were the entire focal point of his segment. I could not see anything but those eyebrows. Did he have eyes, a mouth, a nose...I have no idea because I couldn't look away from the "Groucho Marx" type of eyebrows. I really think the man needed to see a eyebrow specialist...he is in California FFS where there is a beauty establishment on every street...lol

Okay, now to get down to what has been happening around here. Tuesday we were evacuated from our home for a few hours as there was a brush fire and high wind and the city police and the Sheriff decided it was best to move the entire community of our complex out and away from said fire. My mom was sent to the hospital as a precaution and released a few hours later. We were finally able to return home around 5:30 in the afternoon. It was a very scary time and we were very happy that no damage was done to our home. In truth the fire was a good way from us but still with 30-40mph winds it wouldn't have taken long for it to truly do some damage. A man did lose his home as it was engulfed before the fire fighters arrived. My sympathy goes out to him and his as they lost everything. Police and Fire has not found a reason for the brush fire and the paper said today that it may not be possible to find the cause as there were so many emergency crews that it might have been destroyed in trying to save the rest of the area.

So there you have it, a scary and nerve wracking time was had by all and I for one do not care to relive.
